Graphite Design was founded and launched in Japan. The founder Mr. Megumi Yamada is an accomplished golfer. As an executive for a large composite manufacturer of fishing equipment, Mr. Yamada’s foresight was to bring the best composite materials to the golf industry. Prior to his forming Graphite Design, golf shaft companies had only made shafts the low modulus composite materials. This caused shafts that had weak performance and low quality standards.
